ABOUT US

Emirates Hockey is the registered trademark of Emirates Sports Group, which brings together and governs all hockey activities in the Middle East. 

Under its umbrella is the Emirates Ice Hockey League (EIHL), made up of 6 teams, including Dubai Mighty Camels, owned and supported by Emirates Sports Group. The EIHL runs hockey programs for youth, juniors, and adults in the UAE, with the focus on helping to grow the sport and raise its level throughout the region.

EMIRATES ICE HOCKEY LEAGUE (EIHL)

Founded by Emirates Sports Group in 2009, the Emirates Ice Hockey League is the leading ice hockey league in the UAE, driving the sport’s growth throughout the region. The EIHL offers a structured and competitive environment for both local and expatriate players, adhering to international standards.

Major Achievements

EIHL has been crucial in developing ice hockey in the UAE. A key factor in the UAE national team’s success is the import of top talent, with half the team composed of professionals brought in by Vladimir Burdun and the Emirates Sports Group.

This strategy has led to impressive results, including 3 World Championship titles in 4 years and a historic 3rd place in Division 2A of the 2024 World Championships.

The club was founded in 1994 and competes in the Emirates Ice Hockey League.
Dubai Mighty Camels are known for their commitment to the sport and their contribution to the growth of ice hockey in the region.
